Children with brain tumours often spend weeks in hospital. Sometimes they make daily visits for treatment, just to wake up and find that the craft activities in the playroom have finished for the day.

Did you know that that craft activities in many playrooms are not available after 5pm or at weekends?

Even where facilities are available, children are sometimes too sick to make the short journey to the playroom.

 
We are now in our fourth year of a five year Big Lottery Grant and we have now launched our new Sensory Trolleys. These trolleys follow on from our Activity Trolleys providing distraction and play for children 24 hours a day if required using items that stimulate with sounds and lights.

During the first six months of 2011, with the help of our fundraisers and supporters we have placed 19 Sensory Trolleys in Hospitals nationwide and we hope to place a further 10 before the end of 2011.
