Clowns in the Sky were pleased to visit the Great North Children’s Hospital on Friday 29th October along with, Ray Walton the Provincial Grand Master, Fred Dye, Master of DeLaVal Lodge of Mark Master Masons and Clive Robson, Treasurer of DeLaVal Lodge of Mark Master Masons.

The Grand Lodge Mark Master Masons and the Mark Benevolent Fund awarded Clowns in the Sky with a £29,000.00 national grant for the Hospitals that Clowns in the Sky support. In addition to this grant the DeLa Val Lodge awarded £750.00 in support of the Freeman Hospital, Newcastle and a further £400.00 donation on the day from Mr & Mrs Dye.

Clowns in the Sky provide The Great North Children’s Hospital with ten of our Activity Trolleys, and One at the Freeman Hospital. The Trolleys are designed to be a mobile playroom able to come to the bedside of any child who is unable to visit the playroom. These trolleys, full of Arts, crafts, games, puzzles and sensory items offer a welcome distraction from some aspects of life within a hospital.
