Clowns in the Sky have been lucky to be chosen as one of the charities being supported across South East London as part of the Co-op Community Fund. We received the first of two payments at the end of April and it was an amazing £1,192.49, this amount has been raised in just 6 months. The funds have already started to build up for their second payment which will be received early November.
Lynn and I visited the two local stores in the area to say thank you and present with a certificate at the end of May. Shooters Hill at 386 Shooters Hill Road saw Kelly Estherby, Claire Estherby and Gagan Atwal prepared to put on t-shirts and wigs to raise more awareness outside the store, and at Kidbrooke Park – 196-200 Shooters Hill Road, the Manager Viktor left the lovely Tina and Lily to pose for photos.
A BIG thank you to the Co-op, staff and members not only for the funds raised but the awareness too, and the warm welcome when Lynn and I visited, we will be back for a further visit later in the year. Clowns in the Sky are very lucky to have the support of some wonderful people, BUT we can always do with more!
